In the 1920s, Don Enrique Revilla, pioneer of what we are today, began making cheese in the region of Tierra de Campos (Cañizo). Our cheeses soon became known and appreciated for their unmistakable flavor.
In the late 1950s, his successors, José Revilla and Eulogio Rodríguez, established the cheese factory in Villarrín de Campos. In its early days, Industrias Lácteas Revilla grew gradually, built on hard work and effort, thanks to the quality of its cheeses. This was—and still is—our best calling card.
During the 1970s, we updated our facilities by installing the first modern vat and acquiring more modern equipment that improved the production and transport of our cheeses. However, it was not until 2005 that we can speak of the true modernization of the company. In that year, we reformed a large part of the production and shipping system, thus increasing our production capacity.
At Quesos Reviques, we have adapted to working with the most modern technology, ensuring that our cheese loses none of the aromas, textures, and flavors of yesteryear. We are committed to a long tradition of cheese making, which is why we take great care over the quality of our cheeses, keeping our essence intact.
